New Year Prophesy - 2009
Wishing you a very Happy New year in the never changing name of our Lord Jesus Christ. Seasons change but our Saviour changeth not. My righteousness draws near and my Arm will be revealed..Is 51:5
The Earthly calendar shows how we have passed through the past year and have entered into another new year. However, the Heavenly calendar the permanent one shows us that our times are in His hands and he plans them as He wills. His plans will never fail. Whatever He has spoken will come to pass.
Last year our hearts may have been broken on hearing many things like the economic slowdown, people losing jobs, wars, terrorist attacks, Christians being killed and arrested, churches being burnt, pastors and missionaries being stoned and beaten and many more such things. It is natural for the ordinary man to be worried about the New Year. But you are not a natural man. You are a supernatural and Godly man. You are a Heavenly citizen. You are a member of the heavenly family. Hence He is responsible for your protection and provision. You are a permanent client of the never bankrupt heavenly bank. The heavenly battalion wages war on your behalf.
I would like to list a few things that God showed me regarding this New Year.
1. God's Salvation
God's saving grace will manifest very speedily, like never ever before.
My salvation is on the way ( Is 51-5)
All the ends of the earth will see the salvation of our God ( Is 52-10)
Our salvation is nearer now than when we first believed ( Rom 13:11)
The Greek word God for salvation is sozo. It includes deliverance, healing, prosperity, fullness, health, redemption and so on. Satan knowing fully well that he has little time tries to attack the church violently with all his strength. Do you think our Almighty Sovereign God will be sluggish in retaliating satan's schemes? Definitely not! His saving hand will work hastily this year. Hundreds of thousands will be saved. The kingdom of God will descend in a mighty way. Many valiant young people will boldly enter in to the field in teams, to reap a mighty harvest. The forces of hell have no strength to hinder it or prevail against it.
The Lord who heard the sigh of Israel .The Lord shall have compassion on those who are captive under the curse of Satan and stretch out his hand to redeem them. The Holy Spirit will turn multitudes towards Jesus much beyond our imagination. People will be delivered from Satan captivity. Truthful and faithful churches will multiply and deliver many.
Whenever God's people were backsliding, the enemy had an upper hand. Once they were united with God, the enemies were defeated. They were gripped by the fear of God. Even today one of the main reasons for Satan's power is the lethargy of the Church. The people of God are entangled in so many areas. This year the Lord will restore them back to their former Glory. He will surely comfort Zion and will have compassion on all her ruins (Is. 51-3).
The Lord says: You were sold for nothing and you will be redeemed without money (Is. 52-3). The prisoners will be set free soon. They will not die in their dungeon (Is. 51-14). Know the heavenly calendar by reading your Bible. This is the harvest season. This is the time of salvation. It's the period of grace. It's the time to witness the mighty power of God. This is still daytime. Those who work in such times are wise.
The signs of end time will be seen everywhere. The Lord Jesus is standing at the door.His works will be manifested in great momentum. Come on! Lift your heads! Never be sluggish during harvest time.
God’s Arm:
a)The revelation and knowledge regarding the Holy Spirit will increase abundantly. The church of God will experience the fullness of the Holy Spirit. The gifts of the Spirit will be manifest.
My righteousness draws near speedily. My salvation is on the way, and my arm will bring justice to the nations. The islands will look to me and wait in hope, for my arm (Is. 51:5).
The Lord will lay bare His holy arm in the sight of all the nations, and all the ends of the earth will see the salvation of our God.(Is. 52:10).
So he said to me, “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the Lord Almighty.(Ze.4:6).
The arm of the Lord denotes His power and anointing. All the miracles of the Bible were brought about by the arm of the Lord. That is why prophet Isaiah says: “Awake, awake! Clothe yourself with strength, O Arm of the Lord; awake, as in days gone by, as in generations of old. was it not you who cut Rahab to peices, who pierced that monster through?” (Is.51:9, 10).
Are you not the One who dried up the sea, the waters of the great deep; that made the depths of the sea a road; For the redeemed to cross over? (Is. 51:9,10).
All the miracles that manifested in the early church were brought about by the Holy Spirit, who is the arm of the Lord. This power of the anointing affected the entire nation of Egypt.The Holy Spirit was the One who divided the waters. The Holy Spirit is going to manifest the might of His arm this year. His miracles are going to multiply this year.
True workers will know that God's work can neither be done by human strength nor by mere intelligence. It should not be done that way either.
Your worship, prayer and your ministry must make the people and drench them in the Holy Spirit. Any experience that does not lead you more into the anointing is meaningless. The Lord will prove this truth through His servants.
The Lord will rise up people like Paul who will impart the anointing by laying on of hands. The men of God who impart their giftings will begin to shine more. The transferable and transforming anointing will overflow this year.
b) The Holy Spirit will miraculously unite the men of God.The amazing uniting power of the Holy Sprit will be manifested this year.
God's true saints of God are divided due to many reasons. It is very similar to Ezekial's vision (Ez. 37).They are broken and scattered all over,But one saviour. Jesus prayed with a great burden that His church should be united .He clearly said that the world would believe in Him, only when His children unite together. He knew that the glory of God would be manifest publicly only when the church excels in oneness. That is why he prayed for unity (Jn. 17; 21-24)
This year the Lord will miraculously unite his saints. Moses was perplexed that he alone had to tackle such a big problem. Then God sent Aaron to help him. The Lord said 'what about your brother Aaron, the Levite? I know he can speak well. He is already on his way to meet you and his will be glad when he sees you.' (Ex 4:14). Who sent Aaron to Moses? Is it not the arm of the Lord? God will unite his Moses and Aaron exactly in the same way.
Who sent the disciple Ananias to Paul? Is it human brain or man's effort? Not at all! The Lord God spoke to Ananias and encouraged him to go to Paul (Acts 9:10-18). Such miraculous power will unite many Pauls and Ananias. Who gave the address of Peter to Cornelius, who was devout and God fearing (Acts 10:5, 6)?Who melted the strong conviction of Peter that he would never visit the Gentiles (Acts 10:19, 20)? Is it not the Holy Spirit? Even He sent his angel to Cornelius. He is the one who spoke to Peter. This year, the people of God will join together through the wonderful power of the Holy Ghost. You will witness this and be surprised. Expect it to happen! Pray for it! Confess it!
c) The Holy Spirit will bestow his financial blessing to meet the needs of His people.
Those who were lacking before will now say "It is more than enough!" The Lord cherishes to bless his children by giving them surplus. The church must know that our Lord richly provides us with everything for our enjoyment (I Ti.6:17). The Israelites extended their journey in the wilderness unnecessarily by murmuring and back biting.They lamented that they lacked bread. They wandered for water. They murmured for meat! God heard it and showered bread in the morning and heaped quails in the night (Ex. 16). Likewise, the Lord will open the windows of heaven and satisfy his children with financial prosperity.
Please don't murmur about the lack in your life. Take a bold step to give to God. Meditate and confess the relevant scriptures regarding financial blessing. When you do so, the heavenly dew will bring manna and the heavenly wind will drive the quails. Expect it to happen in your lives!
3. The Righteousness of the Lord:
a) This year the righteousness of God and his judgment will be manifest publicly. Those who come against the church of God in one way will flee in seven ways.
Lift up your eyes to the heavens, look at the earth beneath; the heavens will vanish like smoke, the earth will wear out like a garment and its inhabitants die like flies. But my salvation will last forever, my righteousness will never fail. "Hear me, you who know what is right, you people who have my law in your hearts: Do not fear the reproach of men or be terrified by their insults. For the moth will eat them up like a garment; the worm will devour them like wool. But my righteousness will last forever, my salvation through all generations (Is.51:6-8)."
The Lord will arise to do justice to His children. He will once again remind that man is like a grass.
During the time of Jehoshaphat, three mighty kings came against the Israelites. The Israelites in turn, gathered together under Jehoshaphat's leadership and sought the Lord. The word of the Lord descended. Lamentation turned into a song of praise. Sorrow became a song of joy. Depression/ despair changed into dancing. You know the end result. There was a great chaos among the enemies. They found it difficult to distinguish between their enemies and friends. So they fought among themselves and none escaped.
This year the enemies will encircle the Church like dark clouds. All of a sudden the Sun of Righteousness will arise and drive away the dark clouds. You will once again see the glory of God that was manifested during the days of Jehoshaphat (II Chr. 20). We might be perplexed thinking what would happen next. Secret training camps will be conducted, to destroy God's ministers. Religious leaders will be behind all this, under the disguise of a religious act. Some will pretend as if they need your prayers and try to harm you. You will need the gift of discerning of the Spirits just to identify such people. Rejoice! The Lord shall raise His banner of victory for your sake.
The church of God must frequently gather into groups and pray with fasting and constantly praise God. Then the enemies will be confused and be scattered. They will destroy one another as in the days of Jehoshaphat.
b) Acts of Judgment, religious riots, racial riots, natural calamities will increase.
Satan will be very actively working under the name of Religion and race. These spirits will induce young students to shed innocent blood. Students will also bring dreadful weapons in secret to retaliate. There would be terrible bomb blasts everywhere. You will hear of war news. Atom bombs that cause great damage would also be used. We can stop such acts through our prayer. Satan is trying his best with great zeal to steal, kill and destroy. He will destroy his own people through natural calamities. Nature will fiercely rise against those who reject Christ and also against the boundaries. As a result, people will fail to trust their leaders. Darkness will cover the people. Unbelievers will suffer from confusion. Sin will abound everywhere. The same glory of God shadowed over the Egyptians as a dense dark cloud and over the Israelites as a bright day light. The glory of God will shine upon you and enlighten you.
What should you do?
Every year God is giving you many promises. You would have received prophecies also. God would have promised you many things during your personal prayer and bible reading. Years have rolled by and still these promises are not fulfilled. Why? I would like to tell you a very vital truth that you must learn in your spiritual life. God will never delay anything. He needs your co operation. It is true that Christ is the head. But never forget! You are His body. Can the head ever operate without the body? Both man and God have an equal share in attaining his blessings. If you do your best in the right way, God will do the rest without any delay.
Let us learn four important points that God expects from us on the basis of Isaiah chapters 51 and 52.
1. BE PURE:
When God's saving power and his miraculous might and his righteousness is revealed to you, you must immediately shake off your dust and arise. You must break the barriers around your neck. You must flee from being addicted to the desires of the flesh and satan as you carry the glory of God. You must decide not to touch the defiled (Is.52:2, 11).
Night is passed; day has dawned. Heaven beckons you. You have given yourself enough to filth and wickedness.
There is no time for fornication, gambling and arguments. Try to become like Christ. Let the urgency and wisdom of the harvest time arise from within you. Pray with fasting and open Bible and ask: Lord! What do you want me to do?" Once you receive his instructions, take some decisions that will enable you to obey him. Do not allow any cloud to be formed between you and God. Then every eye would witness the glory and miracle power of God manifest through you.
2. BE BOLD:
You should be girded with the shield of faith like never before. Listen to messages that stir up your faith. Chasten away the spirit of fear by confessing positive words. Be soaked in the truth that God Almighty abides in you. Meditate about who you are In- Christ and stir up the God given boldness within you. Do not be shaken by the happenings of the world. Do not be afraid of the enemies who mock you.
God strictly and repeatedly warns us not to have fear of man. "I, even I, am he who comforts you. Who are you that fear mortal men, the sons of men, who are but grass, that you forget the Lord your Maker, who stretched out the heavens and laid the foundations of the earth, that your life in constant terror every day because of the oppressor, who is bent on destruction? Where is the wrath of the oppressor?" (Is.51:12, 13).
May you get the revelation of Paul: "No enemy has the power to close the door that God has kept wide open for me. A great door for effective work is open for me and those who oppose me are many. (I
You will never be shaken in spite of many natural disasters, enemy's fierceness, terrorism and religious riots. The houses built on sand will be utterly destroyed. Since you have built your house on the wise word of God, you will never be shaken. "The rain came down, the streams rose and the winds blew and beat against that house and it fell with a great crash." (Mt. 7:25).
How much ever the enemies oppress you, your multiplication will never be hindered. The experience of the Israelites in Egypt will be yours as mentioned in Ex.1:12 "But the more they were oppressed, the more they multiplied and spread."
Confess these scriptures aloud in your prayer time.Be bold!
3. BE A WORSHIPPER:
The Lord will comfort you this year. The broken areas will be consoled. Your wilderness like life will prosper like the life in Eden. This is what God has promised you (Is.51:3). When God's salvation manifests, sorrow and sighing will flee away (Is.51:11). When you have such a level of faith, you will become a worshipper. You will have joy, happiness, praise and new songs in your spirit.
The Lord wants his church to enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts will praise. He desires to adorn his church with everlasting joy. The church of God must never loose the joy of the Lord. Rejoicing in the Lord always alone is the strength of God's children. You must open the rivers of joy that is flowing in you. Your praising song is the key that opens the streams of joy from within you.
The enemies will gather like dense dark clouds against the church. But when you praise God like the army of Jehoshaphat, they all will melt away as the dew that disappears when sun rises.
What paved the way for the victory of the Israelites? Is it not Jehoshaphat's faith and his songs of praise? Allot time for corporate prayers. Fast together. Do not just stop there. Rise up an army that constantly praises God. No enemy can challenge the songs of praise and the words of faith. Let the high praises and the incessant confessions proceed as a sharp two edged sword to avenge the enemy, punish them, to bind the evil spirits and to pronounce judgment. Spend many nights just to praise God. Increase the fasting prayers in your city. Let the sound of praise fill the air. Pray the scriptures! Swirl this sword against your enemies! Victory is ever yours!
4. BE A MESSENGER:
You are a heavenly messenger. You are the ambassadors of the almighty God. You are the representative of the heavenly government. You are the watchmen who awaken others. You are the good soldiers who announce the good news. You are the stewards of the heavenly secrets. Take a bold decision to shine for the Lord.Give first priority to the spiritual things. Do not be entangled in the daily affairs of the world.
On the judgment day, God will not ask: How much money did you save? How many people did you satisfy? How did you cloth yourself? Instead he will ask: Have you accomplished the task I had ordained for you? Were you the co worker of the Holy Spirit and bless thousands? Did you encourage those who were drowning in sorrow and sickness? Were you God's mouthpiece and comfort His children?
The Bible says: How beautiful on the mountains are the feet of those who bring good news, who proclaim peace, who bring good tidings, who proclaim salvation, who say to Zion, "Your God reigns"! Listen! Your watchmen lift up their voices; together they shout for joy. When the Lord returns to Zion, they will see it with their own eyes"(Is.52:7, 8). Rise up as evangelists who declare peace and boldly proclaim the gospel. Rise up as saviors who propagate salvation. Become watchmen who reveal what the Lord will do during the end times and elevate the faith of the church. Let your feet be beautiful as you carry Christ everywhere.
The Lord will affectionately embrace the new ministries, new ministers, new plans, and new churches like a mother who hugs her new born baby!
May the Lord enable you to possess new territories! May He make you minister with signs and wonders. May He make you a warrior of faith who builds up the faith of others! May He purify you, make you a praising man, make you bold and make you a heavenly messenger! May He make you a channel of blessing who will obey the will of God!
